35 Months

April 14, 2011 mommytobeaver

As of today, Charla has exactly 1 more month of being a 2 year old. I can’t believe how fast this time has gone. I plan on cherishing these next few years because I know, soon enough, my innocent child will grow up and become even more independent than she is now.

When Charla was born, her great-grandparents set up a college account. We get a statement every 3 months and yesterday one happened to come in the mail. Tim was looking it over right before we sat down for dinner and we started talking about it. Charla picked right up on that and asked if that was her money. We said yes but she had to use it to go to college. Charla then said “you want to come to college with me guys?” So cute and innocent. Mommy and Daddy are still the center of her world. As much as it’s annoying at times that she constantly wants to play with me, it won’t last forever. Soon enough she’ll be telling me to leave her and her friends alone. Or that she doesn’t want to spend time as a family, she would rather talk on the phone or browse facebook, or whatever else is popular when she’s 7 or 8.

But for now, I’m going to fully enjoy this last month with a 2 year old and look forward to a summer with a 3 year old.
