Now This…

So, after a wonderful weekend, I’m now stuck with a sick child and a sinus infection.

Why does it always have to be something? Why can’t life just go smoothly for a little bit?

Last week Charla and I got sick with a stomach bug. After the typical 24 hours we were both feeling much better. I had thought I was getting a cold prior to the stomach bug, but then it went away. Over the course of the last 2 days, the side of my face started hurting. Now this morning I woke up and it’s definitely a sinus infection. I wasn’t expecting Charla to be sick too though.

Charla woke up and her cheeks were all red. She was also whining and saying she didn’t want to go to school. Sure enough, 100.5 fever. So she’s dosed up with Ibuprofen and I’m going to the doctor. Luckily my mom was willing to come over and watch Charla while I go. I could have taken Charla, she’s a good kid and not so sick that she would have been disruptive. But “Papa” is a much better option and Charla is excited to see her, despite not feeling 100%.

I’m crossing my fingers for a healthy end of the week!
